Last evening, the hearse with the coffin of the Queen of Great Britain, who died last week, left Scotland and arrived on a special flight to London, where he was transported in a hearse with panoramic windows to Buckingham Palace. On the square in front of him and on the streets of the city, where a line of cars passed, crowds of mourning Britons gathered, who came to mourn their beloved monarch.

The cortege was greeted by members of the royal family, including newly proclaimed King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William of Wales and Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales (who became billionaires after Elizabeth’s death), as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Recall that this is the second time in a week that the Sussexes appear in public with relatives.

All three royal couples traveled in separate cars and did not go out to the public, but the photographers still managed to capture them – pictures we published in our Telegram channel. All, as one, were in black mourning clothes. Unlike Kate, who was virtually makeup-free, Meghan opted for accent dark smoky eyes. Later, the paparazzi filmed Megan and Harry through the window of the palace – they went down one of the stairs after the new king of Great Britain.

Last weekend, Meghan and Harry reunited with the Cambridges (now Wales and Cornwall) and visited the Queen’s spontaneous memorial in Windsor. Their joint exit became the hope for a long-awaited reconciliation. By the way, TV presenter Oprah Winfrey has already managed to suggest that the death of Her Majesty will surely bring together the long-standing warring monarchs.

Recall that Elizabeth II ruled for a record number of years for a monarchy – this summer she celebrated the 70th anniversary of her tenure on the throne. Over the years, it has become a real symbol not only of Great Britain and the Commonwealth countries, but of culture in general. Her Majesty’s funeral will take place on September 19 at 11 am (13:00 Moscow time). The service will be held at Westminster Abbey in the presence of all members of the royal family and representatives of other countries.
