It’s been 29 years since the premiere of the original Hocus Pocus movie. And so, on the eve of the leading roles – Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler and Katie Najimy – presented in New York the continuation of the cult picture. 57-year-old Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica came to the event along with 13-year-old daughters Marion and Tabitha, as well as her husband, actor and producer Matthew Broderick.

Parker appeared on the red carpet in an Armani Privé look – a purple printed jacket, cropped satin trousers and pointy pink pumps, and diluted the look with a blue clutch to match the pattern on the jacket and rock and roll makeup with an emphasis on the eyes. The daughters of the actress also dressed up in accordance with the “witchy” theme of the event: Marion chose a pink and blue iridescent dress with a full skirt, and her sister Tabitha black dress in baby doll style.

Sarah’s co-stars also dressed up imaginatively, with Bette Midler wearing a black and white striped Christopher John Rogers dress and pink turban, and Katie Najimy wearing a classic black Tom Ford dress.

Recall that the fantasy comedy Hocus Pocus was released in 1993. Sarah Jessica, Bette Midler and Cathy Najimim played the Sanderson witch sisters, called from the underworld to eat all the children in town and stay forever young. According to the plot of the sequel, after 370 years they return to Salem, from which they were expelled, to finish what they started. Three ordinary high school girls will have to resist them.

The film was released under the auspices of Disney+ and produced by Steven Haft and Lynn Harris. The new film was directed by Anne Fletcher, best known for her work on Titanic, The Mask and Step Up.
