Tom Hardy makes a surprise appearance at a martial arts tournament and wins all of his matches!

The English actor received a tough training in jiu-jitsu during the filming of ‘Warrior’ (2011) and it seems that he has not forgotten anything.

Fighters often have imposing names like The Undertaker, The Untouchable, Raging Bull, or El Potro. That, of course, in case you need your name to impose. Apparently not Tom Hardy and that’s why he calls himself “Really Nice Guy” What? How? Let’s start at the beginning because, in truth, the beginning and the end are quite close here.

Although for many of his films, such as Bronson or The Dark Knight Rises, it is evident that Tom Hardy trains, the key to the matter is in 2011, in the shooting of Warrior. This was telling her about training him for the Hardy tape to Guardian:

I’ve done two hours of boxing a day, two hours of muay thai, two hours of jiu-jitsu, two hours of (fight) choreography, and then two hours of weight lifting seven days a week for three months.

It seems that the actor has not lost the habit 11 years later because he has surprised everyone by appearing in a Brazilian jiu-jitsu blue belt tournament. The 45-year-old actor not only competed in the Ultimate Martial Arts Championships at Oakgrove school in Milton Keynes, but also won in his category.

The actor took the championship certificate with his real name, Edward Hardy, and surprised everyone. The narrator of the tournament defined him as a “really nice guy” (a really nice guy) and that’s what his opponents said about him. The actor took the fight seriously, but he also had time to take photos with everyone who asked him. However, after watching videos like this we are clear that we would have liked more to be spectators than to face Hardy in combat.

Although this time the images have become viral, it is not the actor’s first jiu-jitsu tournament. He has already participated, and won, another in Wolverhampton. A charity tournament for military equipment, veterans and emergency services held last June around the concept of REORG, an organization that teaches jiu-jitsu in a beneficial way to people with injuries, depression and post-traumatic stress.
