The bodybuilding legend loved actor Jake Gyllenhaal’s physical change for his movie ‘Redemption’.
The world knows legendary bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger as the pinnacle of fitness, even at 75 years old. Also, he doesn’t stop promoting bodybuilding or congratulating someone for his hard work. On one occasion, he fell in love with the physique of a Hollywood actor and praised him live. What is the best transformation of cinema according to Arnold Schwarzenegger? His answer surprises.
During The Graham Norton Show in which he shared a sofa with Jake Gyllenhaal, Arnold Schwarzenegger took the opportunity to congratulate Jake on the incredible transformation he had for one of his films. Arnold said: “Speaking of being in shape. This guy here got in incredible shape. Did you see his body? That movie… He got really beefy.”
Effectively,Jake Gyllenhaal had an incredible transformation for ‘Redemption’, where he played the role of a boxer. She trained hard to learn how to box and get in shape for the role. Not just Arnold, even Graham Norton couldn’t resist admiring Jake’s performance and his determination for the role in the movie. Arnold Schwarzenegger added: “The body was really extraordinary. This transformation, and why it’s literally zero body fat.”
The result we saw on the screen had to go through intense training to get that look. which included 2,000 abs and 12km of running. Similarly, Jake went through a totally different journey to becoming a star on the big screen. “Did you know you could end up looking like that?” he is asked during the show. Jake replied, “No, the goal was to learn how to box. I didn’t know how to box before I started this movie. So the goal was to spend five months and then I decided I didn’t have enough time, so if I didn’t do it twice a day, I would distribute it in 10 months”. And he continues: “So I went and I learned the methodology and techniques of boxing, and then slowly and steadily I got into shape. It was a progression pretty slow for five months.
Jack put a lot of energy and everything into this project, diet included. Furthermore, the dedication and work put in impressed the world’s greatest action hero. Boxing is not an easy sport to learn and, above all, to act afterwards. However, Jack managed to learn and act in a short time. That is worthy of being appreciated. Do we agree with Arnold?
