Yesterday Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra celebrated the big Hindu holiday of Diwali. The 30-year-old actress and model posted pictures on her blog of herself and Nick with their 9-month-old daughter Malti. Priyanka’s mother was also noted in the pictures.
This is the first Diwali in our first joint house,” Chopra wrote under the frames. This evening will always be special for me. Thanks to everyone who helped us organize the celebration. Everyone, as one, was on this day in national festive clothes, even Jonas. Priyanka dressed in a white embroidered sari, Joe put on a suit of trousers and a shirt of the same color, and they dressed their daughter in a delicate dress.
Diwali is a national Indian holiday, also known as the “Festival of Lights”, recognized as the biggest celebration in India and takes place over five days. The festival is held annually every autumn, often in October or November, depending on the moon. Diwali is celebrated mainly by Hindus, but over time it has become a national holiday.
Recall that Malti Marie was born in January of this year thanks to a surrogate mother. The baby was born prematurely and stayed in the intensive care unit for 100 days, after which the parents were able to take her home. In April, the stars revealed their gender and name, and in early May they shared the first picture of their daughter.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas met in early 2018 and after two months of relationship, in July, they decided to get married. The couple was not embarrassed by either different backgrounds or a 10-year age difference. Priyanka and Nick got married on the first weekend of December. The celebration went on for two weeks: first in Jodhpur, and then in Delhi and Mumbai.
