The meeting of the protagonists of the well-known series ‘Friends’ has caused a stir among fans, and rightly so! As we have already told you, actor Matthew Perry himself (who does not seem to be going through one of his best moments, especially for health issues) has released a book in which he talks about the sauces in the series, but also about many other things! An example? His relationship with actress Julia Roberts.
In his new book, ‘Friends, lovers and that so terrible’ (Backlight), which will go on sale in Spain on November 17, the actor has confessed many things about Julia. Among them, he wrote: “Julia was offered the post-Super Bowl episode in season two and said she would only do the show if it had anything to do with my story”, wrote. “Let me say this again: She would only do the show if she had anything to do with my story. (She was having a good year, or what?) But first, I had to woo her.”
The actor acknowledged that at that time sent her more than three dozen roses, accompanied by a note which read: “The only thing more exciting than the idea of you doing the show is that I finally have an excuse to send you flowers.” However, it was not enough, since she put the condition that if he explained quantum physics to her she would accept. But that was not an obstacle!
“The next day I sent him a paper on wave-particle duality and the uncertainty principle and entanglement, and only part of it was metaphorical,” he wrote. “Julia agreed to do the show and even sent me a gift: rolls, lots of rolls. Of course, why not? She was fucking Julia Roberts.”
funny thing is that When the episode began to be filmed, they were a couple in real life, but they separated shortly after… “Going out with Julia Roberts was too much for me,” he confessed. “I was sure she was going to break up with me”. However, she assured that it was he who was responsible for starting the breakup. “Rather than face the inevitable agony of losing her, I broke up with the beautiful and brilliant Julia Roberts. I can’t describe the look of confusion on her face”.
