Taylor Swift made history by becoming the first artist to solo the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the same week. The historic milestone is the result of the success of the album “Midnights”, released on October 21st.
The song “Anti-Hero” hit # 1 with nearly 60 million streams, 32 million radio broadcasts and 13,500 sales of her single. The success of “Anti-Hero” is also due to the fact that the song was the first to receive a video, which stimulated its diffusion. The “Anti-Hero” video already has more than 42 million views on YouTube.
Second place is the album’s opening track, “Lavender Haze”, which had a large number of streams (41.4 million) but fewer radio broadcasts (2.4 million). While all the songs passed the 400,000 radio play mark, only the first two exceeded one million.
The other songs that make up the Top 10 are: “Maroon” (37.6 million), “Snow on the Beach” (37.2 million), “Midnight Rain” (36.9 million), “Bejeweled” (35, 5 million), “Question …?” (31 million), “You’re on Your Own, Kid” (34 million), “Karma” (33 million) and “Vigilante Shit” (32.2 million).
With that, Swift broke the record previously set by Drake, who had managed to place nine of the songs that made up his album “Certified Lover Boy” (2021) in the Billbord Top 10. Last year, Swift also reached # 1 in the Top 100 in November when she released “All Too Well (10-Minute Version)”.
The “Midnights” album is available on all audio platforms.
