anita received the award for “Innovative musical artist” to the Innovative Awardsan award sponsored by Wall Street newspaperin a ceremony this Wednesday 2, in New York, in the United States.
On her Instagram, the artist thanked the newspaper and editor-in-chief Kristina O’Neill for the honor. “I can’t believe I’m recognized alongside these other amazing and pioneering artists,” she wrote.
In the same publication, she shared photos on the red carpet and next door J Balvin and thanked her friend for coming: “I am so honored that you came tonight. I am amazed by your talent and your generosity.”
“You are one of my greatest inspirations and for you to finish a great tour and being here means the world to me. Having you as my supporter and confidant has been the greatest blessing,” he continued.
Anitta also took the opportunity to reflect on her journey here. “When I started singing Brazilian funk around Rio as a teenager, I never imagined I was at the Museum of Modern Art in New York with all of you,” she said.
She said she hopes girls from Brazil and around the world can see themselves win in life and said that being seen as an innovative artist is all that can be hoped for. “Innovative and inspiring, I am very happy to be recognized by all of you,” she concluded.
