Victoria Ruffo answered if she is ready to become the first lady of mexico, before the claims of her husband, Omar Fayyad, to be a candidate for the presidency of this country. It is worth mentioning that the actress already held this position, albeit on a smaller scale, when her husband was governor of Hidalgo (2016-2022).

In a recent meeting with the press, the star of Corona de Lágrimas was asked about the possibility that her husband of more than two decades was setting her ambitions to become president. To this, Ruffo joked and pointed out that she could not only become first lady, but even “Madam President.”

“Does she see herself as the First Lady of Mexico?” one of the journalists asked the soap opera interpreter and, between nervous laughter and humor, she answered: “As Madam President…”

She completed her answer by saying that she is faithful to her husband and that she will have his support in every situation: “I see myself always with my husband, wherever he is, however he is, always by his side.”

Like Angélica Rivera with the former president of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, Victoria Ruffo does not rule out the possibility of obtaining the title of the first lady of Mexico. At the end of August, she told Despierta América that her main desire is to see her husband fulfilled and continue to motivate him as he did with her in her acting career.

“For me it is very important that my husband fulfills himself as he wants, to do what he wants. And I am there with him as his wife, his partner, to support him in whatever he wants, as he supports me in my work. He is with me, he comes to my events. It encourages me to work, to be active. So, I see myself with my husband wherever or however he is,” she commented.

At the time of the interview repeated by the program “Venga la alegría” on November 7, the protagonist of the first version of “La madrastra” was accompanied by Omar Fayad, who confirmed his intentions to advance his political career along these lines .

“Is it true you’re running for president?” One of the entertainment reporters asked Fayyad, 60, to which he firmly replied: “Yes, I just made an announcement publicly, first I will seek to belong again. If the aforementioned political plans are fulfilled, the former governor of Hidalgo will participate in the 2024 federal elections in Mexico. The father of Victoria Ruffo’s twins, Anuar and Victoria, has an extensive career in this field, having also held the position of senator and federal congressman in Mexico City.

Despite Omar Fayad’s public roles, Victoria Ruffo has remained active in the entertainment medium, however, controversy has arisen over whether her husband’s presidency could mean she is taking a break from acting.
