At the beginning of this week, the whole world learned that Natalia Vodianova found her sister, who was given to foster parents from North Carolina in infancy due to the difficult financial situation in the family. The Russian supermodel told this story for the December issue of American Vogue. Fragments of the article leaked to the network ahead of time, when the issue had just gone on sale, and now the full version of the article has been published on the magazine’s website.
So, material apart already famous shots of Natalia and her sister Jennataken by Annie Leibovitz, there was also a photograph from Vodianova’s personal archive. The shot was taken during the first family meeting in Paris, where Natalia lives with her husband Antoine Arnault and children. The meeting took place in 2021. It was also attended by Vodianova’s sister Christina and their mother Larisa Kusakina. Another photo from the backstage was shared by the editors of the magazine

As it became known from other fragments of the article, Larisa does not speak English, so she communicated with Jenna with the help of her daughters. And despite the language barrier, the meeting between Jenna and mom was very emotional. In an interview, Natalya also admitted that from the first meeting they all immediately felt like a family. And her mother, for the first time in a long time, really smiled – she was depressed after her husband and mother died in 2021.
Now, reportedly, Natalia is going to go to North Carolina to meet Jenna’s adoptive parents.
Vodianova herself appeared in public for the first time on Wednesday after the news of her found sister. She flew to Spain to attend the opening of an exhibition dedicated to fashion photographer Steven Meisel.
