Fernanda Passos, widow of Erasmo Carlos, posted a message on Instagram, this Wednesday 23, mourning the death of the singer.
“You transcended, I died! I asked a lot, I begged, I begged God, your doctors, I appealed… Vido, it wasn’t your time, you didn’t want to leave, and God didn’t take you away from me , it was a disease, it was a life thing, and you know life is good shit sometimes,” the publication begins.
Fernanda’s message is accompanied by a photo of her and Erasmus kissing.
“I saw you disappear in my arms, and I saw you thirsty to live, thirsty to LIVE WITH ME! You lived for me! It has been 12 years of meetings. I have always loved you in a hurry, with despair, with pain, with blood, with tears, my love is fierce!”
The text concludes with Fernanda stating that the two will meet again one day: “I have prepared the house for your return. I have washed the clothes, I have washed the bedding, and with that I have lost your smell. Love , soon the smell!!!! !!!!!!! So I can’t live without your smell!!! I was desperately looking for where I could find your breath, your sweat, the smell of your hair.. Vido, you waited 69 years for me… wait a little longer!!! We will meet”.
The death of Erasmus
The singer and composer Erasmo Carlos died on Tuesday 22, at the age of 81. He had been hospitalized in the Barra D’Or hospital, in Rio de Janeiro, since the 2nd of this month, “with panniculitis complicated by sepsis of cutaneous origin”.
Panniculitis is inflammation of the fatty layer under the skin. Sepsis is the body’s reaction to an infection, affecting the functioning of tissues and organs and can be fatal.
The artist’s vigil will be reserved for family and close friends and will take place this Wednesday afternoon, 23, in Rio de Janeiro. The time and place were not disclosed.
