The police investigate the case, Voltaire Porto leaves behind his wife and three children
the journalist Voltaire Port was found dead on Tuesday 15 at his home in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. The information was reported by SBT-RS and confirmed by Rádio Guaíba.
With more than 20 years dedicated to journalism, Voltaire Port gained notoriety commanding ‘Cidade Alerta’, dal Record TV of state. He was currently working as the presenter of “Bom Dia”, a morning news program on Rádio Guaíba.
According to SBT extension, the journalist was found dead by the police inside his home in the north of Porto Alegre. The Civil Police of Rio Grande do Sul is investigating the possibility of suicide.
In a statement released to the press, Guaíba radio lamented the presenter’s death and praised him for his “professionalism and versatility” in communicating with the public. Voltaire Port leaves behind a wife and three children.
