Singer Simony celebrated, this Friday morning (12/16), the end of her treatment for bowel cancer, which she discovered in August this year.
In an Instagram post, the singer vented about the painful process she’s had to go through in recent months.
“Is today my day of rebirth, love life, crying and fear? Yes, I allow myself to be everything and feel everything because for almost 6 months I have undergone the most painful treatment of my life – not only physically, but also emotionally. Since nothing, my life changed and, once again, I heard God whispering in my ear: ‘I’m with you, I’m using you'”, Simony began.
The former Balão Mágico singer also said that she considers herself “another person in every way” and that she feels “grateful for having the opportunity to be here”.
Simony’s cancer was discovered after a series of routine tests. At the time, the artist had a lump in his intestines and ended up having a colonoscopy.
She was hospitalized for almost a week in a hospital in São Paulo, where she underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions.
“The baldness no longer reminds me of the disease, but of the cure,” said the singer of the hair loss caused by the treatment.
