Fiona Young was looking out at a restaurant England and had fire in her hair. The accident occurred last Saturday 17, during a dinner with friends in the city of Liverpool.
The 38-year-old woman was leaning over to snap a momentary selfie, but strands of her hair ended up snagged on a decorative candle on the table. Young told British newspaper The Daily Sun that he hadn’t noticed the target near her.
The Sun newspaper spoke to the receptionist at the local doctor’s office, who explained that she smelled burning and reacted instinctively.
“I had to bang my head to put it out even though it was very hot. I grabbed my hair to stop the flames, but they pulled out a lot of my hair.” Despite being scared and “lucky to survive,” Fiona now looks to the comic side of the incident. “Everyone laughed at the end.
Mockingly with the arrival, shortly after the incident, the DJ of the restaurant played the song “Girl on Fire” (Garota em Chamas, in free translation), by Alicia Keys in “homage” to Young, shortly after being back from the bath throw away the burnt hair.
“The DJ was clapping when [a música] they were playing and everyone was celebrating,” concluded the woman, playing with the situation.
