The Rock and the story of how Arnold Schwarzenegger made him a millionaire actor

“I will never forget my mother crying,” Dwayne says in an interview.

Dwayne The Rock Johnson he is an inspiration to many people around the world. The wrestler-turned-actor has worked hard to rise to new heights of fame and success to become the highest-paid actor in Hollywood.

The Rock long ago admitted that bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger inspired him during a particularly tough time in his life. DJ revealed how The Austrian Oak changed his life for the better. It is known that Dwayne Johnson and Arnold Schwarzenegger are good friends and share a close relationship with each other (Arnold helped him a lot when The Rock landed in Hollywood back in 2005)… There is even debate about who is bigger of the two.

As many of you know, The Rock came from humble beginnings to rise to global stardom. During his teenage years, he was evicted from his apartment and separated from football… The Hollywood star’s work ethic is second to none, and he brings that discipline to all aspects of his life, be it wrestling, movies, the business or sweating it out at the gym. This all stems from his early life, when he tried to emulate Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s popularity transcended bodybuilding. Arnie followed a simple formula for success: keep your head down and work hard. He proved it so by becoming a world-famous bodybuilder and, later, an action movie star. His success was due to his dedication to building the impressive physique that he maintained for years. He had risen from adversity to become a global icon.

The Rock faced his own challenges during his childhood. The eviction from his apartment and the firing from the CFL left him devastated. So he decided to exercise and strengthen his body. He had seen how guys like Arnold succeeded thanks to his physique and he wanted to emulate him.

In an interview with Muscle and Fitness, DJ told how Governator’s success led him to bodybuilding. He recalled that after he was evicted at the age of 14, he began to exercise. TheRock said: “I’ll never forget my mother crying and I’ll never forget the thought I had, ‘Well, all I can do is go build my body.’Because the successful men I knew – Stallone, Arnold, Bruce Willis – were men of action.”

It’s easy to understand why he idolized Arnie and other big men. Their physique had given them great opportunities in other fields and they had achieved tremendous success. For The Rock, the motivation to make a career could not go beyond these men.

In fact, he followed Schwarzenegger’s path of hard work and discipline, which led him to become a huge wrestling star with WWE. He then entered Hollywood and established himself not only as a celebrity, but rather as a brand recognized throughout the world. He went from having only 7 dollars in his pocket to being a Hollywood star valued at 800 million dollars.
