The presenter also described the last few years as “difficult”, with the constant threats to Democracy by Bolsonaro and the pandemic COVID-19.
“Today we open a new cycle. With different, positive perspectives, with the possibility of reconciling the country, of putting the pieces back together, that we return to being a country that recognizes itself in the other”, he vented. Then he said: “2023 starts differently, right? We Brazilians come from a sequence of very difficult, painful years. They were two years of a pandemic, all of its consequences for health, for the economy, for our Welfare”.
Lucian he also spoke about the 2022 election race and the expectation for change. “And, after the most tense election year since redemocratization, with a very divided society, with constant threats to our democracy, today we open a new cycle, a new year,” he concluded.
