Stranger Things star Maya Hawke is set to star in Wildcat, directed by her father, Ethan Hawke. According to Variety, the project will be based on the biography of author Flannery O’Connor, author of Blood Wise. It is her who will play the young actress.
Ethan Hawke will direct, produce and write the film at the same time. American composer, musician and writer Shelby Gaines will also take part in the creation of the film. The film will be produced by Joe Goodman of Good Country Pictures, Ryan Hawke of Under the Influence Productions, Corey Pike of Renovo Media Group, Kevin Downes, John Ervin and Daryl Lefebvre of Kingdom Story Company.
In addition to Maya Hawke, filming that has already begun in Louisville (USA) includes Laura Linney, Philip Ettinger, Rafael Casal, Steve Zahn, Cooper Hoffman, Willa Fitzgerald, Alessandro Nivola and Vincent D’Onofrio.
