Janja sues Jovem Pan and the commentator who called her a drug addict

First lady Rosangela da Silva Janja filed a lawsuit against Jovem Pan and commentator Pietra Bertolazzi.

Distributed on Monday (23/1), the lawsuit is pending in the 1st civil court of the TJ-SP (Court of Justice of São Paulo) and seeks compensation of R $ 50,000 in moral damages for Bertolazzi who claimed on air that Janja smokes marijuana.

The comment was made in September last year, during the election campaign. On the occasion Brotolazzi, who defines himself as an anti-feminist, compared Janja to the then First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro, whom he defined as an “elegant, cultured woman who speaks of God” and who, therefore, represents a “threat to the left”. “While you have Janja hugging Pabllo Vittar, she smokes marijuana, she does whatever, you have a flawless woman who represents entitlement, her values, kindness, beauty,” he likened.

It didn’t stay there. Bertolazzi also said Janja made “farofa” at events with her husband and called Lula’s supporters “a bunch of stoner artists.” “Everyone embraces Janja, because that’s the kind of value she demonstrates, unlike Michelle Bolsonaro,” added the commentator.

Judge Cassio Pereira Brisola gave the commentator and the broadcaster 15 days to present their defences. If this deadline is not respected, the facts presented by Janja will be assumed to be true.

In addition to the compensation, the lawsuit asks Jovem Pan and Bertolazzi to publicly retract and publish the sentence on their social networks, to determine the removal of the video published on the broadcaster’s platforms and to pay, in addition to the compensation, the costs of the proceedings and expenses with lawyers of 20% on the recalculated value of the case.
