Was JLo Caught Making Sure Ben Affleck WASN’T DRINKING?

Jennifer Lopez was reportedly caught checking that her husband, Ben Affleck, had not been drinking alcohol while they were at a party.

They attended the premiere of the actress’ most recent film, “Shotgun Wedding,” on Jan. 18, and it was during the after-show party that the events took place.

They point out that JLo would have verified that Ben Affleck did not consume alcohol

It was journalist Allison Witucki who posted a video on her TikTok account two days ago in which López and Affleck appear to be chatting.

However, the clip in which a social media user named Matt reads the actor’s lips and says what the 50-year-old actor apparently said to his wife has gone viral.

“I haven’t had anything to drink, okay?” says the “tiktoker” Ben said to Jennifer, who is now carefully tasting the liquid in a glass.

As soon as she puts the drink on the table, according to Matt’s interpretation, the “Armageddon” star yells “Jen!”

Affleck’s voice in the original audio is not heard because the song “Let’s get loud” was playing in the background at the time of filming.

However, several netizens expressed in the comments of the post shared by the “influencer” that it appeared that the 53-year-old singer was checking that her husband did not consume alcohol.

Jen doesn’t drink. It 100% looks like she grabbed her glass and tasted it to see if it had alcohol in it. Just look at her body language,” one user wrote.

Newsweek reported on Jan. 30 that it reached out to the stars’ reps to get their take on the situation. however, they received no response.

Ben Affleck and his fight against alcoholism

Ben Affleck first decided to quit drinking in 1997. Fox News reports that he told a reporter, “I started to regret some of the things I did when I was drunk.”

It wasn’t until 2001 that he sought treatment for his alcoholism, reports Us Weekly. Since then, he has been to rehab several times, most recently in August 2018, and has remained sober.

In late 2021, months after giving himself a second chance at romance with his ‘On the floor’ co-star, the ‘Gone girl’ star said he had learned from his drinking problems.

“Learning these things in an authentic and meaningful way to really understand the lessons that I’ve internalized, that have created the values that I have now,” he said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.
