Naomi Campbell starred in a new advertisement for the fashion house Fendi. This is not the first time the supermodel has become the face of the iconic Peekaboo bag — not only does she reflect the “character” of the iconic piece based on ambition, independence and self-sufficiency, but she has also been friends with couture and womenswear designer Kim Jones for many years, as well as artistic director of accessories and menswear by Silvia Venturini-Fendi. Fashion photographer David Sims was responsible for Naomi’s cinematic color and black-and-white shots this time.

In the new footage, Naomi demonstrated several Peekaboo models in various sizes and several basic colors – white, beige and black. The supermodel herself appeared in the photo with straight hair in strict monochrome images that do not distract attention from the bag. Naomi’s makeup was also kept in natural tones.
Fendi’s geometric and minimalistic Peekaboo bag dates back to 2008. Since then, it has become a hallmark of Roman craftsmanship. Designed by Silvia Venturini-Fendi and presented at the FENDI Women’s Spring/Summer 2009 fashion show, it was a sensation born from a desire to rethink contemporary accessories in the years of the somewhat protracted “it-bag” craze.
