While films are being shown in Cannes, Kim Jones’ new creations are being shown in Los Angeles – the Dior men’s cruise collection was shown on Venice Beach. The creative director of the fashion house decided that the closer to Hollywood, the more star guests would come to the show. And he did not fail: several couples came to see the “capsule” first – Christina Aguilera with her fiancé Matthew Rutler, love doves Rita Ora and Taika Waititi, Christina Ricci with her husband Mark Hampton, newlyweds Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham (who, however, now wears double surname Peltz-Beckham), as well as pregnant Kelly Osbourne, Amber Valletta, brother Billy Eilish Finneas and others.
The new collection, created by Kim Jones in collaboration with Eli Russell Linnetz, evokes the vibes of the 2000s. On the catwalk, we saw a lot of pink and lavender, transparent and shiny fabrics, chunky sneakers and sequins. Accessories included signature Dior saddle bags with gold chains, hats with veils, and multi-colored glasses.
