Today, May 28, the 75th Film Festival will come to an end in Cannes. Many have already begun to take stock, both in the field of cinema and fashion. During these 10 days on the red carpet and numerous parties, we saw, perhaps, everything. But at last amFAR’s gala dinner, the spotlight was on guests who went above and beyond for the Oscars or the Met Gala. You rarely see such an abundance of revealing dresses – either it was the desire to get into the reports of all the invited photographers, or the weather had such an effect (on this day in Cannes there was a 27-degree heat).
An interesting fact: at this event there were practically no outfits from well-known fashion houses such as Dior, Chanel and so on. The ball was ruled by lesser known brands like Dundas and Mônot. The first was preferred by Ciara, Frida Aasen, Natasha Poly, and the second by Eva Longoria, Nina Dobrev, Cara Delevingne, Pom Klementieff, Sabrina Carpenter, Cindy Bruna.
Against this background, Cynthia Erivo stood out in Louis Vuitton, Candice Swanepoel in custom Boss, Isabelle Gular in Roberto Cavalli, Olivia Culpo in Saint Laurent. But all of them were united by one thing – frank necklines on all sides: from above, below, on the side, on the back.
These and other celebrity dresses are in a selection of looks from the amFAR charity ball.
