From the development of electric cars to the search for hydrogen fuel and achieving carbon neutrality by 2030, Ferrari has been building a luxury lifestyle and in fashion.
“Ferrari is at its core a luxury company and the most distinctive and innovative luxury brand, and we see that there are huge opportunities ahead for us in the further development of our lifestyle,” said in an interview with WWD magazine John Elkann, Chairman of the Board of Ferrari. “We never compromise, we want to be an unrivaled expression of Italian excellence.”
Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna stressed that by 2026 Ferrari wants to double its sales in the lifestyle division through luxury goods, adventure parks and museums and collectibles, compared to sales in 2019. He also noted that Ferrari is fully committed to , which he believes in and tries to reach a wider audience in this way. During his speech, Vigna appointed a new addition to creative designer Carle Liuni, who previously worked for Pandora.
Between 2018 and 2022, Ferrari rejuvenated its loyal customer base and 60% increased new collectors with a 25% increase in the average number of cars. It is considered a potential new circle of customers for the luxury fashion brand, as well as new key regions such as Asia.
“Women are also increasingly interested in our goods, becoming our ambassadors and helping to influence shopping,” said Benedetto Vigna, adding that the global appetite for luxury was growing, but insisted that Ferrari “Unique cars and unique products” and adapts the motto of founder Enzo Ferrari to supply “One car less than the market demands” also in the lifestyle division to maintain exclusivity. Ferrari is changing the position of its fashion brand, streamlining its distribution, opening two stores in the USA and restricting its licenses. It also emphasizes its theme parks, such as Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi and its famous and recently renovated restaurant Il Cavallinonamed after the symbol of the prancing horse mark.
