The SegraSegra brand offers pieces for women and men, cyclists and mothers who wear their children in a scarf. And according to Dáša Mertová, one of the founders of the brand, it was the last ones who often hesitated to buy, because when the children grow up, they won’t need the coat.
“We always told our customers that if they take good care of their clothes, they will sell them profitably again. And in the end, we offer them a buyout ourselves.” explains Daša Mertová.
How does it work? Customers can take pictures of SegraSegra products and its daughter or rather sister branch Mama by Segra and offer them for purchase. Depending on the level of wear, they can receive a voucher for their next purchase worth 15-40% of the purchase price. In addition to second-hand clothes, prototypes also appear in secondhand. According to Eliška Mertová, the other founder, the service has worked well. “We’ve managed to sell around 60 pieces since launch, the most popular ones don’t even heat up for 3 days,” states. According to her, TomskiPolanski leggings, which are otherwise sold out, nursing t-shirts and sweatshirts, wearing jackets and clothes with recycled soul elements are disappearing the fastest.
“We know that the fashion industry is one of the dirtiest. That’s why we think it’s important to motivate people to take care of their clothes. And offer a platform where, if they no longer use it, they can send it on. And allow it to be carried to the last breath,” the Mert sisters conclude.
