Prevention

The basis of proper care is prevention. In order for our handbag to last as long as possible as new, we must protect it from water and the sun and not expose it to bad weather unnecessarily. The skin does not like water and due to excessive exposure to the sun’s rays, it turns pale and loses its elasticity. Regular impregnation can help here, which increases the elasticity and water resistance of the skin.

Storage

How you store your handbag is also very important. If you don’t wear it very often and it spends a lot of time stored in the closet, it can easily get damaged. Deformations are then difficult to correct. The best way to preserve its original shape is to fill the bag with paper and stand it up or lay it down. Once in a while it is a good idea to change the paper inside the handbag and let it air out. “Once in a while I have a handbag day like this. I will replace all the fillings and let the bags breathe. Thanks to this, they still look like new,” advises Agnieszka Kozlowská.

Impurities

A long-term perfect appearance of the skin can only be achieved by regular removal of even small impurities. The key is not to let the dirt dry and remove it immediately. “First try to clean our leather with crocodile relief only with a damp cotton cloth and if that doesn’t help, add a little vinegar to the water,”

Regularity

Even if there are no major dirt or stains on the handbag, it still needs to be wiped with a damp cloth once in a while, cleaned inside and out, and then oiled and nourished. Castor oil, beeswax or various skin balms are ideal for this. Thanks to such care, our handbag will avoid cracking of the leather and will always have a beautiful shine. This will get rid of even minor scratches and imperfections.
