Isabel Pantoja Fan Club Denies Asking for Television Cash

Spanish singer Isabel Pantoja's fan club has issued an urgent statement denying reports that members were asked to pay 300 euros for a new television.

Celeste, the president of the Club Buena Suerte de Madrid, released an official statement on Thursday refuting allegations made by television journalists concerning a group collection for the singer's home in Gran Canaria.

The controversy emerged after journalist Pepe del Real claimed that the fan club leader had requested financial contributions from members. According to Del Real, around 20 fans were asked to contribute 300 euros each to purchase a high-end plasma television for Pantoja's new bedroom in the Canary Islands.

Pantoja remains at the center of public attention in Spain despite attempting to distance herself from media scandal. Even while focusing on her work, the singer faces ongoing pressure from a multi-million euro debt owed to the Spanish tax agency, known as the Agencia Tributaria or Hacienda.

Authorities have focused attention on Pantoja's shrinking property portfolio as she seeks ways to resolve her tax liabilities. Media scrutiny has also extended to her luxury possessions, some of which are alleged to have been gifted by loyal supporters.

Tensions within Pantoja's inner circle have also drawn notice, with her brother Agustín Pantoja reportedly remaining suspicious regarding the girlfriend of her son, Kiko Rivera.

Fan club refutes collection claims

In response to the allegations, Celeste issued a statement on behalf of the Club Buena Suerte de Madrid to refute the claims and address public confusion. She stated that reports concerning gifts for Pantoja, and specifically requests for money from third parties to fund them, were entirely false.

Celeste affirmed that neither she nor the Madrid club had asked any individual for money to buy gifts for the singer. She added that any messages or comments attributing such an initiative to the club did not correspond to reality.

The organization expressed deep regret over the spread of reports that could generate misunderstandings or harm the image of the club and its members. It requested that anyone receiving such claims refrain from treating them as true or sharing them further.

Celeste urged supporters to use only official channels of the Club Buena Suerte de Madrid to verify facts. Reaffirming respect for Pantoja and a commitment to transparency, the statement reiterated that no money had been requested for gifts.

Reunion in Gran Canaria

The dispute followed a recent meeting between Pantoja and Celeste in Gran Canaria. Pantoja had previously distanced herself from several long-time confidantes, leaving her separated from Celeste for two years before their recent encounter.

Journalist Kike Calleja reported on the Telecinco program 'Vamos a ver' on Thursday that the meeting marked a reconciliation. Calleja stated that the two women held a very beautiful and emotional conversation that enabled them to reconnect and move past their previous issues.

Isabel Pantoja is one of Spain's best known traditional musical artists, specializing in the tonadillera style of traditional Spanish song. Telecinco is a major national television network in Spain operated by Mediaset España, which frequently covers Spanish popular culture and entertainment news.
