Friday night's concerts at the Itu Rodeo Festival, in the countryside of São Paulo state, Brazil, were cancelled after authorities warned of severe weather in the region.
São Paulo's Civil Defense issued an alert about an imminent severe storm, prompting organizers to call off the September 11 shows, which were set to feature singer Gusttavo Lima and the duo João Bosco & Vinícius.
Why the shows were canceled
According to the event's organization, the decision was made to guarantee the safety of the audience, staff and artists who would have been at the venue.
Ticket holders for Friday's date will be able to use their tickets to attend the festival on Saturday, September 12, instead.
Organizers also set up a refund option for those who bought tickets for Friday's shows. Fans seeking a refund must send an email to [email protected], with returns becoming available starting September 16.

The event began a week earlier, on September 4, and has featured acts spanning several genres of Brazilian music, from pagode to sertanejo, as well as pop and electronic music.
Artists who performed on earlier dates included Natanzinho Lima, Matheus & Kauan, Luan Santana, Pedro Sampaio and Sorriso Maroto, among others.
Gusttavo Lima is one of Brazil's best-known sertanejo singers, having built a career on hits that regularly top Brazilian streaming and radio charts. João Bosco & Vinícius are a sertanejo duo also popular on the country's rodeo festival circuit, a genre of live event that combines rodeo competitions with major music concerts and draws large crowds across Brazil's interior each year.

The Itu Rodeo Festival is set to be followed by the Jaguariúna Rodeo Festival, running from September 13 to 26, and later by the Caldas Country Festival in Minas Gerais, scheduled for November 20 and 21.
