Kevin Costner, 71, was spotted on a cozy grocery run with a mystery blonde woman near his $145 million California compound, exclusive Daily Mail photos show.

The Yellowstone star appeared relaxed and in high spirits as he stocked up on groceries with his companion at an Albertsons store in Santa Barbara on September 7.

One onlooker told the Daily Mail the pair were "extremely affectionate" with each other throughout the trip.

Costner played Montana rancher John Dutton on Paramount's Yellowstone for five years and is reported to be worth $250 million.

What the pair bought
The couple picked up steaks, vegetables, grapefruit juice and a packet of Kellogg's Frosted Flakes as they toured the aisles together.

At the meat counter, Costner's companion appeared to take charge, pointing out their selections while he stood beside her.

The pair made no apparent effort to keep the outing under wraps. Costner wore a white polo shirt, matching pants, leather flip-flops and sunglasses, while his companion wore a loose white top and denim shorts and pushed the shopping cart.

Once finished, they headed back to Costner's gray Mercedes-Benz in the parking lot, where he returned the cart himself.

Divorce battle and courthouse
The supermarket run took place only a few miles from Santa Barbara County Court, where Costner was ordered to pay ex-wife Christine Baumgartner $63,209 a month in child support for their three children, plus $1.5 million to her personally.

Costner's divorce from Baumgartner, 52, became final in February 2024 after a bitter battle over cash and assets. Baumgartner, who filed for divorce, had at one point demanded $248,000 a month to support the couple's children, Cayden, now 19, Hayes, 17, and Grace, 16.

Court filings showed Costner earned $19,517,064 in 2022, while the family spent $6,645,285 on expenses, not including taxes. Baumgartner detailed how the couple traveled the world in private planes and stayed in luxury hotels and homes, spending $25,806 on boats, $21,807 on spa services and $542,303.47 on gardeners. She argued that even if she won her full request, it would still be less than needed to maintain the children's lifestyle, which she put at $332,264 a month.

Household spending revealed in court filings
The paperwork also showed Costner donated $830,504 in gifts, paid $24,375 in auto insurance, spent $238,530 on medical expenses and gave $36,465 to charity.
Running his main beachside estate in Carpinteria, south of Santa Barbara, cost $1,178,147 in 2022, including $150,590 for a gardener and $273,805 for "gardener-extra work." Cleaning cost $64,527, insurance $188,290 and property taxes $77,603, while repairs and maintenance came to $153,929 and utilities to $43,569. Despite his fortune, the filing showed a mortgage interest payment of $86,163.
Aspen ranch and the Yellowstone exit
Costner's Aspen compound cost $1,964,294 to operate in 2022, with $91,999 spent on a ranch manager, $170,533 on other employees, $163,505 on insurance, $44,607 on internet, $331,057 on repairs and maintenance, $124,017 on utilities and $19,576 on cleaning. Another $459,000 went on commissions and $127,943 on mortgage payments.
Under the family's personal profit and loss statement for 2022, spending included $41,800 on food and cash, $34,434 on golf and club dues, $12,000 on hunting dues, $99,000 in cash, $222,586 on Baumgartner's Amex card, $84,040 on household help and $12,851 on a personal trainer.
Baumgartner described the Aspen property as spanning 160 acres about ten minutes from the town center, surrounded by protected national forest, with several homes and custom features. She said it rents for $250,000 a week in high season and includes two large lakes and a dozen ATVs and snowmobiles for the children. She said Costner told her he was once offered $250 million for the property, calling it "an extraordinarily valuable asset."
Costner's courtroom testimony also revealed that a "long, hard-fought negotiation" over splitting Yellowstone's fifth season into two parts led to his decision to leave the show. He said he needed to focus on his film Horizon, which conflicted with filming Yellowstone twice a year, and that he believed he was owed $12 million for the unfilmed second half of season five.
New relationships
Costner was reported to have found romance last year with filmmaker Kelly Noonan Gores, with the relationship described as private and casual. Baumgartner has since remarried too, tying the knot with financier Josh Connor in October 2025 at a vineyard in Santa Barbara.
