Lauren Goodger has worked up a sweat in a low-cut gym top and matching leggings during a reformer Pilates workout in Essex.

The reality television star, 40, snapped an Instagram selfie on Monday perched atop a Pilates reformer machine ahead of her workout. Showing off a full face of makeup with her hair tied back into a practical ponytail, the former The Only Way Is Essex star hailed the morning session as her happy place.

Goodger had also taken a similar cleavage-filled mirror selfie at home before setting off for her morning exercise routine.

Her gym session came one week after she left little to the imagination in a black lace corset top during a night out at Sheesh restaurant last month amid her continued 40th birthday celebrations.

Dressing up for the evening out, she showed off her surgically enhanced assets in the plunging top from Spanish high-street retailer Zara. She paired the piece with black figure-hugging trousers, black heels, and a glamorous makeup look.

Reformer Pilates is a full-body exercise system performed on a specialized spring-loaded apparatus featuring a flat sliding carriage, resistance springs, and adjustable straps. The technique is designed to build core stability, body alignment, flexibility, and muscle strength. Goodger first rose to public fame as one of the original cast members of The Only Way Is Essex, the ITV reality television franchise launched in 2010 that follows the personal lives of residents in the home county of Essex, located northeast of London. She was well remembered on the show for her high-profile relationship with co-star Mark Wright, who later established a career as a radio presenter and television host. After leaving the reality series in 2012, Goodger made her return for its 32nd series in 2024 and has appeared regularly on screen ever since.

Birthday celebrations and personal updates

Marking her milestone 40th birthday earlier in September, Goodger reflected on her future in a social media message posted on Instagram. She wrote: "HBD to me. On to the next era and feeling like this one hopefully will be the best."

Her recent birthday milestone follows a heartbreaking admission on a recent TOWIE episode, where she broke down in tears while revealing that she wants another baby after experiencing the tragic death of her newborn daughter and two miscarriages.

The TV personality gave birth to her second daughter in July 2022, but the baby sadly passed away just minutes after being born with her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck. Goodger named her late daughter Lorena. She also shares a five-year-old daughter, Larose, with her former partner Charlie Drury.

Goodger previously disclosed that she and Drury fell pregnant twice following baby Lorena's death, but she suffered heartbreaking miscarriages both times.

During a scene from TOWIE filmed in August, Goodger broke down in tears at a mother's blessing ceremony held for her co-star Sophie Kasaei. Kasaei, who gained television fame on MTV's Newcastle-based reality series Geordie Shore before joining the TOWIE cast, was still pregnant at the time of filming.

Emotional support among co-stars

Embracing Goodger during the emotional moment, Kasaei comforted her sobbing friend with supportive words. Kasaei told her: "You're allowed to cry, you've gone through so much, you know. And you stay so strong."

Goodger explained to Kasaei that she was eager to meet the new arrival, saying: "And I'm just like enjoying this through you as well." Goodger went on to reveal that she would like another baby in the future, while thanking God for her daughter Larose.

Kasaei praised Goodger for her strength and empathy, saying: "How you can sit there for me and be strong for me with all the other girls and support me after what you've been through. Like you know, I'm so grateful for you for being there for us as well. Thank you."

Following the filming of the scene, Kasaei gave birth earlier this summer to a baby boy named Brody with her TOWIE co-star Jordan Brook.
