Singer Leire Martínez has referenced the lyrics of her new breast cancer charity anthem in a social media post ahead of her upcoming Madrid performance.
The artist, who was born in San Sebastián, posted three photographs from a recent studio session on Instagram, captioning them with a line from her song titled Quédate en su voz. In her post, Martínez wrote that if a person feels grey and the world loses color, they should stay with her voice.
Martínez explained that she had initially debated whether to include that specific phrase in the track. Breast cancer patients who sang in the recording choir convinced her to keep the line about grey days, telling her it captured the reality of their struggles.
Supporting Cancer Research
The song serves as the official anthem for CADENA 100 POR ELLAS 2026, a major charity concert taking place on October 24 at the Movistar Arena in Madrid. Presented by retail department store group El Corte Inglés, the annual event donates all proceeds to the Spanish Association Against Cancer, known as AECC.
Spanish pop radio network CADENA 100 has supported breast cancer research initiatives for roughly 15 years. The track reached number one on iTunes during its first weekend on sale and remains in active rotation across the station. Listener downloads and digital gifts raise funds directly for medical research.
The composition addresses the emotional stages experienced by patients following a diagnosis. It also highlights the network of family, friends, and caregivers who provide essential support during treatment.
Concert Dates and International Tour
Martínez is set to perform the anthem live on stage at the Movistar Arena on October 24, having also taken part in the benefit concert last year. Immediately following the show, she will fly to Mexico to resume her international concert tour, titled Historias de aquella niña.
The tour has taken her to dozens of venues across Spain and Latin America. Her launch concert at La Riviera in Madrid sold out rapidly, prompting her team to organize an expanded performance to conclude this stage of her career.
Martínez will headline a special concert called La noche de aquella niña on April 17 at the Palacio de Vistalegre arena in Madrid. The upcoming performance will feature guest artists and surprises, with tickets currently available on her official website.
