She, who also deals with the universe of social media influence, will be the inspiring muse of Mangueira, in Rio de Janeiro, and star of Mocidade Alegre, in São Paulo. In addition, Thelminha has already participated in a warm-up for Carnival, she being the muse of the Unidos do Bar Brahma, a roadblock that took place in the central region of the city of São Paulo last Sunday, February 12th.

“I have the best expectations for this year’s Carnival. I am very happy to have turned 18 at Mocidade Alegre, which is the school of my heart in São Paulo and which is bringing such a beautiful texture to the avenue, stitching up our ancestors with the story of the first black samurai. It is also gratifying to be part of such a large school and with such a strong storyline as Mangueira”, he reveals, in an interview with Good shape.

Her first time in Sapucaí took place last year, as the muse of the samba school of São Clemente. “The first one was wonderful, when the cent of the place where I was, paying such a beautiful tribute to Paulo Gustavo, was very beautiful, emotional and special. I hope to repeat the emotion this year, because that’s what we pushes us to renew this whole annual challenge, wanting to be there every year”.

PASSION FOR DANCE

According to Thelma, the passion for dance comes from childhood. “I don’t remember the exact age, but my mom tells me I used to dance to department store music,” she says. Her interest in vocational training in the area was boosted by the shows she saw on television, which made her ask her mother to enroll her in a dance school.

The doctor studied ballet for 15 years and managed to become a professional dancer. However, despite her participation in dance festivals, she has decided not to pursue a career, leaving dance only as a hobby in her life.

PHYSICAL PREPARATIONS

To be at her best during the revelry period, Thelminha has a prep routine that includes strenuous physical activities, samba lessons, and food curation.

With the guidance of two personal trainers, one for bodybuilding and the other for aerobics, she performed a series of exercises that help her body deal with the fantasy, the heat and the parade along the two roads. In addition, she also performs physiotherapy sessions.

“In bodybuilding training, I focus a lot on the lower body, legs and abdomen, to have more muscle definition in these regions. My personal trainer is Marcio Lui,” quotes the doctor.

A passerby for many years, Thelma says “the biggest samba classroom is the samba school court.” This is because, according to her, in this environment it is possible to get in touch with some essential aspects to have an incredible result when crossing the avenue, for example the drums and the rhythm of the school of that year.

Even samba lessons make a difference. “This year I’m taking a class with Robério Theodoro, the King Momo of the São Paulo carnival, who is a samba professional and is helping me to refine the details to offer the best on the boulevard.”

As for food, the presenter points out that she is maintaining a balanced diet and adequate water consumption so that the body becomes healthier and can withstand the Carnival marathon.

CHALLENGES

For Thelminha, reconciling the Carnival and its preparations with other commitments is not an easy task.

“For the past two months, I’ve divided my time between São Paulo and Rio, to manage rehearsals here and there. Also, I work in Bem-Estar, I have my needs as a digital influencer, I’m a wife, I’m a mother of an animal domestic, I am the daughter of a little lady. So, taking care of all this, these various functions, ends up being the biggest challenge. But everything works and, doing everything with pleasure, enjoying what you do, it becomes easier”, she concludes .
