A biopsy performed on US President Joe Biden in February confirmed he had basal cell carcinoma and all the cancerous tissue was successfully removed, White House physician Kevin O’Connor said on Friday.
Biden will continue dermatological surveillance as part of his health care, but the biopsy site has healed and no further care is needed, the White House physician added.
Last month, doctors declared Biden, 80, healthy and “fit for work” after a physical exam.
