Easter egg sensation: the perfect combination of chocolate and strawberry

The sensational Easter egg recipe is very easy to prepare and everyone will like it, because the combination of chocolate and strawberry is perfect. Find out how to prepare and make the date even sweeter!

Ingredients:

  • 700 g of chopped milk chocolate

Truffle

  • 1/2 teaspoon red gel food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon of strawberry essence

Method of preparation:

  1. For the truffle, melt the white chocolate in a bain-marie.
  2. Mix the cream, colorant and essence, mixing until smooth.
  3. Reserve in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  4. Melt the milk chocolate in a bain-marie until completely melted.
  5. Transfer to ice in a double boiler to warm the shock, stirring with a spatula until the chocolate cools.
  6. Spoon a layer of chocolate onto 4 500 g Easter egg moulds, spreading to obtain an even layer.
  7. Invert pan over bowl of melted chocolate, lightly tapping off excess.
  8. Clean the excess chocolate from the edge with a flat knife.
  9. Refrigerate for 15 minutes or until solidified.
  10. Repeat the process making another layer of chocolate.
  11. Place in the fridge for another 15 minutes and make a generous layer with the truffle, keeping a 1 cm border.
  12. Finish, with a layer with the rest of the chocolate and take it to the fridge until it has hardened.
  13. Carefully unmold the egg.
  14. Join 2 halves, forming an egg, and wrap in laminated paper, cellophane and decorate with a bow.
  15. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
