SulAmérica launches the Odonto Individual product line with the release of more than 200 procedures

Oral health care is directly related to health. A study conducted by Incor showed that 45% of heart disease and 36% of deaths from heart problems have a dental origin. In other words, health starts in the mouth. The dental plan can be an excellent ally in disease prevention. Beneficiaries of this product tend to visit the professional more frequently and this regular maintenance helps prevent the development of heart problems and other diseases.

Also, the monthly fee for a dental plan can be more affordable than just having a procedure at a private clinic. Brazilians have already understood the importance of oral health care and have been looking for plans to meet their needs. To give you an idea, searches for dental plans on the internet grew 28% in January of this year compared to the same period last year.

According to ANS data, the number of exclusive beneficiaries increased by approximately 76% between 2011 and 2022. A study conducted by AON in 2021 evaluated more than 800 companies across 30 segments and found that 91.7% of companies in Brazil already offers dental care plans for its employees. This number is in line with a question observed in a survey carried out in 2020 by the Sodexo Study Center, which indicates the third most desired benefit by employees in the dental plan.

With an eye to this question, the South America has just unveiled its new portfolio with four new plans, designed around customer needs. Through expanded coverage of services, with the delivery of more than 200 procedures, the insured has access to teeth whitening, dental documents and orthodontics, among other benefits. The plans are: SulAmérica Odonto Mais, SulAmérica Health starts with Odonto Mais Clarear mouth, SulAmérica Odonto Mais Doc and SulAmérica Odonto Mais Orto.

Another difference is the progressive discount program for dependent family members (10% discount for 2 lives and 22% discount for 3 or more lives) and eligibility for the whole family (up to 3rd degree blood relatives). “Clients also have an annual plan with no grace period, discounts of up to 70% in pharmacies, access to the SulAais discount club and an accredited specialized network with nationwide coverage,” comments Solange Moretto, Odonto Commercial Superintendent.

The ease of contracting is another differential and the beneficiary can do it directly through the company’s website. “But it is also possible to acquire an Odonto SulAmérica plan through the broker,” guarantees Juliano Tomazela, director of price strategy and products for health and dentistry. “There are four different plans and the beneficiary can already invest in oral health care starting from R$ 43.90 per month,” says Tomazela.

Juliana Caligiuri, commercial vice president of SulAmérica, recalls that, according to the ANS, there are currently more than 30 million people with dental plans in the country. “We have seen an increase and interest of Brazilians in oral health care. In 2019, SulAmérica, for example, had 1.7 million beneficiaries for this line alone.

Currently, there are 2.1 million people with the company’s dental plan,” he says. “Since the new portfolio, we have managed to provide even more comprehensive benefits to the beneficiary, while also offering the best experiences to our business partners,” completes the executive.
