Can you mix the drink with other drinks? We will now answer this and other questions
A beer, is certainly one of the most democratic drinks in the world: it is consumed throughout the year by different social classes and genders, in different places and temperatures, it is also used to celebrate a special date or drown sorrows. Because it’s so versatile, people don’t always know what the myth and truth are about it.
Thinking about it, we have compiled a list of the 5 most common myths about beer. Watch:
Beer should be consumed cold
For the good Brazilian who frequents the pubs, the beer must be incredibly cold. But is this the right way to consume it? In fact, this is a myth, what the experts say is that when it gets too cold, your taste gets damaged, making you unable to identify the intended flavours.
Being in a tropical country, the temperature of the beer is always closely linked to the heat, being used to cool it. However, each type of beer has an ideal temperature to be consumed.
A very common rule is that the temperature must be equal to the alcohol content, for example: a beer with 4% alcohol content should be at 4°C. But the right thing is to consume it as you like, whether it’s stupidly cold, just cold or at room temperature.
Dark beers are stronger
Many people believe that stouts are stronger and more alcoholic, but that’s a myth! Several stouts sold in supermarkets have a lower alcohol content than pale beers.

Indeed, the darker color comes from the choice of malt used in the brewing of the drink, however, this will not affect whether it is stronger or more bitter. The ingredient responsible for the bitterness is the hops and not the malt.
Beer should be served with the glass tilted
One of the biggest myths about beer is that the glass needs to be tilted correctly when serving it. According to scientists, in fact, the ideal is to tilt it very little, about 15 degrees, so that the flavor is not lost thanks to the rapid formation of bubbles.
To top it off, it is worth not leaving the glass too far from the tap or the can, so that excess foam does not appear, which leads to a loss of flavor.

The glass should be tilted only when the beers are full-bodied and must be served slowly.
Bottled beer is better than canned beer
Of course everyone has the right to find a better brand or format, however there is no evidence that canned beers are any worse than bottled beers. Indeed, it is very probable that the drink is better in the can, because the bottles are translucent, and the light in contact with the beer can cause alterations, since there is no space in the can for the passage of light.
The closure of the can is also more adequate than that of the bottle, because a badly positioned or dirty cap can cause oxidation in the drink, which will not happen in the can.
Mixing beer with other drinks is bad for you.
In fact, everything feels like alcohol to your body, so mixing beer with other drinks won’t make you sick. You will look bad for the amount of alcohol you ingested.
Generally, when you drink beer, you drink it at a pace. So when you switch to another drink, it’s normal to keep up the pace, this gets you drunk faster.
So if you want to have a drink and then a beer, don’t worry, it won’t give you a bad hangover. However, if you overdo it and go beyond your limits, your body may not respond well.
Oh… and when you consume alcoholic beverages, remember to drink plenty of water to avoid alcohol-induced dehydration.
