We can achieve all of these goals, but with enough financial control.
And thinking about it, we talked to the businessman, João Camargo who gives advice to you who are starting your adult life and barely know where to start when it comes to goals and how to manage your money. Check below:
Got a job? Create your own “sock foot”
I know well, when we get our first job, we want to buy everything we couldn’t before because we are still dependent on our parents. So take it easy, buy your stuff, but with control.
“When we start earning our first money, through an internship or even a first job, we have to put some of it into a reserve. A big mistake is to start receiving and not making financial reserves. Everything is planning and analyzing how there is a lot to save each month to achieve your goals”, teaches João.
Don’t buy out of emotion, use reason when using your money. “Think about your goals, what you want to achieve, your goals and be aware of it! Try not to act on emotion and mentalize that your goals are bigger than anything else and must be tangible, totally depending on your control,” he explains.

João teaches how to plan life by yourself. “Financial planning doesn’t have to be something extremely complicated, I would simply say. Young people need to keep in mind what their fixed expenses are, what their variable costs are and leave a separate part for reserve, bigger goals and so you have a simple and functional design with financial conscience”, simplifies.
But if you have the chance to wait a little longer and stay at your parents’ house, stay there and put together a good reserve so you won’t have any problems when it’s time to leave.” When I started living on my own, I had who knows how much it would have cost, I went moved and today I regret it, because if I had organized myself better, staying longer at my parents’ house, perhaps I would have saved more,” he says.
“So, it’s important to think about whether it’s really worth it and do an overhead — apartment, bill, internet, everything — to see how much she’d spend on this lifestyle and if she can afford it,” she advises.

It can work, but it will require a lot of maturity on both sides. “You two will have to be mature, because daily life is very different from friendship outside the home. So, make sure who you put in with you. Is he reliable and will he be able to face the adversities that may arise in the middle of the road?” asks John.
“Furthermore, to honor the economic commitment I advise you to sign a contract, everything must be dealt with in a contractual manner, because in this way all the requirements will be respected and honoured”, he guarantees.

Organization is the alternative to get out of suffocation. “My advice is to always organize for everything. If you are tight and live alone, think about going somewhere cheaper until you can pay off all your debts or even share the apartment with several people,” concludes the ‘expert.
