Show a CasaShopping brings 70 environments designed by 100 professionals

“Behind the Glass: Create Worlds” is on display through May 31 and is a carbon free event

Until May 31, CasaShopping is promoting the 6th edition of the “Behind Glass – “Create Worlds” exhibition, curated by Eduardo Machado, superintendent of the shopping center. There are around 100 architects, interior designers and landscapers presenting creative environments full of emotion.

“We decided to provoke the best professionals in the sector to create different worlds that present, firsthand, the design releases on the market,” explains Eduardo.

Participating professionals include: Jorge Delmas and Cristina Brazil (Francino), Christina Cortes (Way Design), Paula Wair and Lenora Lorisch (Natuzzo), Carmen Zaccaro (The flight), Ricardo Mello and Rodrigo Passos (New Environment), Juliana Neves and Mabel Graham Bell (New Environment), Patricia Landau and Carolina Escada (Contemporary Archive), Sergio Paolo Rabello (Exit Artifact), Ricardo Campos (Forward and Mac Móveis).

Carolina Druck and Vanessa Nascimento (Brentwood) - The environment composed of curved furniture, organic shapes and soft colors tried to explore different textures through natural materials and textures. “One of the identities of the office is the use of biophilia, which connects spaces with nature, promoting well-being and comfort for its occupants,” says Carol. “There's no better place than a dining room for family gatherings. From there the idea was born to create an environment to collect the most beautiful moments”, completes Vanessa.

Lenora Lorish and Wair de Paula (Natuzzi) - 'We thought of a particular universe of a young couple who, for us, are between 40 and 50 years old… (we eliminated the age barriers a long time ago!). This universe is made up of a living room and a bedroom, using the new Natuzzi products, as these are the areas where people interact the most. We brought from São Paulo a beautiful carpet designed by the Campana brothers and the collection of artworks and objects comes from our personal collections', says Wair de Paula. 'Neutral-colored leather and/or fabric furniture is enhanced on a base of warm colours', adds Lenora.

Ricardo Mello and Rodrigo Passos (Novo Ambiente) - “We have created an atmosphere that rotates between the contemporary, the retro-futuristic and the natural. We are in a phase of stylistic transition, with more daring furniture,” says Ricardo Mello, partner of Rodrigo Passos.

carbon-free event

A great novelty of this fair is the Carbon Free gasket. This year CasaShopping has started a partnership with the NGO Iniciativa Verde which, since 2005, has been offsetting greenhouse gases through forest restoration, mainly in the Atlantic Forest. And Atrás do Vidro will be the first event to have all the carbon generated for its realization – around 58 tons – neutralized by the planting of 249 trees.

“From now on, we will offset and neutralize all carbon emitted from pre-production at events,” says Eduardo Machado. The initiative adds to other practices already implemented by the mall, such as the creation of a solar park with the capacity to generate one megawatt.
