Italy’s Guardia di Finanza and European Union antitrust agents raided the headquarters of luxury fashion house Gucci in Milan as part of an international operation to investigate possible violations of trade rules and practices in companies in the sector of fashion.
The inspection took place last Tuesday evening (18) and was triggered on the initiative of the European anti-corruption authority.
The searches were carried out in one of the Milanese offices of Gucci – which is part of the French group Kering -, which is dedicated to the production of leather goods, bags, wallets, wallets and shoes.
Other inspections of the same type were reportedly carried out at the headquarters of other fashion companies, whose names were not disclosed, in the rest of Europe. EU sources say companies found guilty of breaching EU rules will face fines of up to 10% of their global turnover. .
