The Worst Option: What Not to Give for a Housewarming Party

A housewarming party is no less joyful than the birth of a child or a wedding. It is believed that you should come and visit the new settlers with useful gifts. And this item, despite its daily need, is better not to give on this occasion.

At a housewarming party, it is customary to give absolutely everything that may be needed in a new home: after all, often a family moves into a dwelling without even half of the necessary household arsenal.

It is believed that newcomers will always be pleased with a set of quality bed linen, a set of dishes, small household appliances and other useful and cozy little things. It is unlikely that anyone will refuse a good set of kitchen knives. However, it is better not to give it away for a housewarming party.

Since ancient times, our ancestors were afraid of presenting themselves with sharp objects. It was believed that the given knife, so to speak, “cuts” the bond between the giver and the receiver.

In addition, a given knife worsens relations between households. Therefore, it is better to buy an item with such explosive energy yourself.

At the same time, do not be afraid to give cutlery sets in which there is a serving knife. It has a different functionality and handles sharp objects with a very large stretch. Also, do not forget that in the first place everything depends on our perception of the world. If you want, you can also blame the mug for bad household relations. But is it worth it? 🙂
