A test for those who remember the USSR: guess the purpose of the thing in the photo!

These objects are easily recognizable by those born and raised in Soviet times. (But it’s not exactly.)

Do you know, for example, that the kyiv Semiconductor Plant produced … a wet layer indicator? As soon as the sensor in the fabric got wet, a red light came on on the remote indicator.

Few people have used the gadget – usually children, even without a device, quickly let their parents know that it’s time to change clothes. But for those who were born “silent”, “Firefly” was a real salvation, because not a single baby benefited from a long stay in the rain.
