In fact, this drink is not a herbal tea, but a super creamy recipe based on milk and caramelized sugar! The couple formed by Wesley Sarto AND Andeanchannel owners Recipes I love, on YouTube, has taken care of sharing this wonder step by step. Watch:

Peanut tea

Ingredients:

  • 70 g of peeled peanuts (without sugar and without salt)
  • 500ml of milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 sprig of cinnamon
  • 60ml cognac (optional)

Method of preparation:

In the blender, combine the milk and peeled peanuts, without salt and without sugar. Beat for a few minutes until all the peanuts are chopped. Reserve this liquid.

In a pan, add the sugar, turn on the medium heat and keep stirring until the ingredient is completely dissolved and reaches an amber colour. When the sugar reaches this point, gradually add the peanut-milk mixture to the pan. Our suggestion is to add a little liquid, mix it and keep adding it gradually, repeating this process.

At this point, over low heat, you can add a cinnamon stick, a few cloves and, if you like, brandy to the pan. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely and the drink thickens slightly. Ok, now serve your cinnamon tea and enjoy!
