Laura Muller: “No one is forced to masturbate, but it’s excellent”

At 53, a sexologist launches the first line of intimate products and says that the profession has given her the freedom to talk about sex with her mother

Anyone who grew up watching “Altas Horas” was probably influenced by the sexologist Laura Müller when it comes to solving doubts about pleasure and sex. The specialist, who became nationally known by answering questions from young people in the audience of the program hosted by Serginho Groisman, has just launched his first line of intimate products in collaboration with the sexual well-being company INTT Cosméticos.

“It has always been my desire to bring products that can supplement pleasure to people who are not familiar with sex toys – the famous sex toys. The collection was designed to encourage people to approach sex toys in a gentle way,” says Laura , defender of education and sexual freedom.

“Nobody is forced to do anything, to masturbate, to use sex toys… anyone who is willing to open up to this pleasure can be a very good tip”, he guarantees.

Sex is still forbidden

This move follows other changes in her career, as well as following a post-pandemic trend, which is in the sexual wellness market. About two years ago, Laura launched her channel on Youtube, and this allowed her to speak more openly about erotic products. The creation of the line itself, therefore, was an “expected” movement.

“I feel, yes, that people have become more and more open to talking about sexuality, but I also see that sex is still a taboo subject in our culture and that we still have a long way to go,” says the sexologist, who comments that he does not they’ve always had this “open mind” to the subject.

sex at home

Like many of us, Laura “took a while” to get in touch with the topic of pleasure: “I’m 53 and my mother is thirty years older than me. We didn’t talk about it at home, and I didn’t attend classes either of sex education at school. I started exploring the topic as a professional decision.”

Not long ago, a controversy involving host Angélica (who suggested her daughters give their mothers vibrators on Mother’s Day) reverberated in the media and divided opinion. The sexologist says she wasn’t always free to talk to her mother, Myrthes Muller, about the subject, but that nowadays her mother is her number 1 fan.

Laura Muller and her mother Myrthes

“She’s always watching the stuff I do on TV, reading the books I publish, the columns, and probably also reading this interview here. She’s my superfan today, but it’s important for us to say that today’s adult, who are 40, 50, 60 years old, have not followed sex education in childhood and adolescence. Talking more openly about sexuality is a thing of the new times. Fortunately, right “, underlines the specialist.

“This image that a mother doesn’t feel pleasure is part of our culture, which has a number of myths and taboos around sexuality. But it’s important for us to understand that every person can and should experience their own pleasure in their own time,” he says .

your own pleasure

For both those who want to use sex toys for the first time and those who want to spice up their routine, Laura gives advice. According to her, “you can feel pleasure at any moment” – as long as there is room for it. “To touch your body, you have to be relaxed, calm and have time. Each person will know what their ideal moment is based on the lifestyle they follow,” she believes Laura.

For the expert, the masturbation it is a way for the person to discover their path to orgasm and this also facilitates pleasure with the partner. “When you discover your erogenous zones, you bring those discoveries into your relationship.”

‘pepper’

The new line of erotic products by Laura Muller

The line includes four products aimed at female sexual pleasure: an aromatic candle, a water-based lubricant, a serum and a kit consisting of a lube bullet. The idea is to stimulate daily intimate care (a kind of pepecare, cousin of skin care) with the intimate regions.

“We take care of the skin, we moisturize the face, everything, right? If we take care of other areas with specific products, why can’t we do the same with the vulva?” she says.
