Sri Lankan Army medics joined the book of records for the removal of the largest and heaviest kidney stone in the world. The kidney stone has 801 grams and 13.37 centimeters. According to the Army, the removal occurred on the 1st.
Up until then, the largest stone had been found in India, in 2004, at 13 centimetres. The heaviest was recorded in Pakistan in 2008 at 620 grams.
