Take two charcoals, of different sizes, and place them in a bowl (preferably an agate) with water. Leave it under the bed. The first piece placed represents the current year and the second the following year. On St. John’s Day (June 24), fill a pot with water. Add three cloves and seven drops of your usual perfume. Bring to the boil and, when the water boils, throw a 20cm piece of white string into the pan. The letter formed with the line will be the initial of the name of your love.
