The school holidays are in full swing and many families travel. But the holidays don’t have to be synonymous with out-of-control eating and a total lack of exercise. It is possible to spend this rest time in a more regulated way, but not necessarily on trial, but with conscious choices.

Let’s start by pointing out that you don’t need a gym to work out. It is possible to jog with the children, stroll down the street – even for half an hour –, play beach tennis on the beach with friends, or even go for a walk with the dog.

In order not to fall into the trap of being sedentary during the holidays, look for an activity that you enjoy and that is plausible to do with the participation of children, for example. The important thing is to keep the body moving. To have a better life, the secret is to have balance.

As far as diet is concerned, we don’t need to eat everything we want at once. When we talk about balanced nutrition, we have to think about the choices we make.

For example, we can and should prioritize fresh over processed foods and not eat everything we want in one meal, as well as avoid consuming some processed foods.

If you really miss eating a treat, stick to one a day.

  • 5. Hydrate

Remember that hunger can be synonymous with dehydration, so stay hydrated so you don’t feel that constant hunger and horse, plus, drinking water is important to ensure your body is functioning well.

  • 6. Avoid eating out of boredom or anxiety

Think before you eat, because we may overeat just because we have nothing to do.

  • 7. Always remember your purpose
