Labrador Tucker alerted his owners who called the police
One cub from Pennsylvania, USA, found an escaped prisoner in the backyard on Tuesday the 18th. Tucker the Labrador won a $2,000 reward for his help.
The 6-year-old dog ran into Michael Charles Burnham, who had escaped from prison using the sheets on July 7. In an interview with the ABC News website, pet tutors Ron and Cindy Ecklund revealed that they were startled by Tucker’s barking.
As soon as they ran into Burnham, the two called the police. “If you want to talk about how scared we were, the people who called 911 on the phone must have thought I was crazy because I was pretty adamant and said, ‘Please come here. It’s in my backyard,'” Cindy said. .
Shortly after the call, police found the criminal on a nearby street and arrested him. In addition to the cash reward, Tucker received a new collar, a bucket containing 48 new tennis balls, and several new toys.
