In less than a year, the music producer and DJ Ronald went from 115kg to 89kg and lost 6% body fat. The change was motivated by dissatisfaction with the image he saw reflected in the mirror.
“I wasn’t happy with my body and my health. It was a time of a lot of introspection until I decided I should, yes, be at my peak fitness by age 23, but no. I was barely the strength to do anything,” he recalled. him in a magazine interview GQ Brazil.
The change started gradually. “I played two or three times a week. Then I got carried away and started training every day”, says the DJ who inherited the taste for sport from his father, an idol of Brazilian football, Ronaldo phenomenon.
His enthusiasm for tennis resulted in a slight knee injury, which revealed the need to strengthen his muscles. Ronald joined the gym and discovered a new passion for bodybuilding.
“I trained twice a week for a month and a half. Then I got a taste for it and it became a routine. Today it’s my daily therapy, you know? Of course I haven’t replaced the therapy, but it’s an outlet valve,” he reports.
The DJ trains one muscle group per day followed by 20 minutes of high-intensity cardio-respiratory exercise (HIIT).
Ronald admits that he has a number of benefits that help change his life. “It’s not the same situation for everyone,” he reflects.
Among these facilities are the follow-up of nutrition professionals and a personal trainer, and the easy access of having a gym and tennis court at home, located in the exclusive neighborhood of Morumbi, south of São Paulo.

According to him, with the diet the results began to increase by 80%. “Know that the gym is good for you, but if you don’t have a plan for what you’re going to ingest, the process is slower,” advises Ronald, who says he has gone three months without consuming alcoholic beverages, but has returned to drinking sporadically.
His passion for the gym has also spread to social media, where he is seen and followed by 370,000 profiles, as “fuel” to continue publishing fitness content.
“It starts a chain of good and motivation. I show people that it’s really possible and I don’t see myself as an example of overcoming obstacles, far from it,” says Ronald.
