Ingredients:

  • 2 liters of milk
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 2 1/2 cups (tea) sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Cloves and cinnamon sticks to decorate

How to prepare the dulce de leche:

  1. In a tall skillet or cauldron, boil the milk with the lemon juice until it thickens.
  2. Add the sugar, salt and baking soda and cook over low heat for 1 hour, stirring with a wooden spoon, until reduced by half and thickened.
  3. Then let it cool and pour it into a compote.
  4. Serve garnished with cloves and cinnamon sticks.
