The young Athirson Gonçalves, 22, reports in a video that he received a 302-day medical certificate by mistake due to diarrhea. The posting has gone viral on TikTok over the past week and has 2.7 million views.
He, who lives in Águas Lindas de Goiás (GO), told the State Gazette who went to the emergency room with diarrhea and received the certificate. When he was returning home, however, he realized that the doctor had put him on bed rest for 302 days.
“I was amazed. I read the certificate three times and saw that it was right, in brackets the number written in full,” he commented.
The next day he returned to the hospital and showed the document. The young man was assisted by another doctor who issued a new certificate with the orientation of five days of rest.
