An American woman traveled 5,000 kilometers from the United States to Scotland to attend the wedding of an old friend. The only problem is that Arti Mala got the wedding venue wrong and arrived on time for the wrong wedding.
She only realized her mistake when she arrived at the ceremony at Pollokshaw’s Burgh Hall in Glasgow to find complete strangers named Caitlin and Stephen exchanging their wedding vows at the altar.
In the video that went viral on TikTok, which already has more than 500,000 views, Arti joked about the situation: “I traveled 5,000 kilometers and accidentally showed up at the wrong wedding,” she wrote.
The woman said she took a taxi to go to the place, but did not realize she had the wrong address. Luckily, her friend’s ceremony was to be held about a mile away at Pollokshields Burgh Hall. So Arti managed to arrive in time to join the party. “Finally found an Uber for the right wedding but missed the talks,” she wrote.
